Bule Hora University and Refocus Africa Investors Network Forge Partnership to Drive Education, Innovation, and Sustainability

May 14, 2025 – Bule Hora University (Ethiopia) and Refocus Africa Investors Network Limited (Tanzania) today announced a strategic collaboration to advance education, innovation, and sustainability across Africa. The partnership was formalized through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at a ceremony held at the Inter Luxury Hotel in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Dr. Berhanu Lema, President of Bule Hora University, and Dr. Lisa, Co-founder/President of Refocus Africa Investors Network Limited, signed the MOU, marking a commitment to joint initiatives that will empower communities and drive economic growth. The signing was witnessed by Anteneh Fikrie, Director of the Research, International Relations, & Partnerships Directorate.
This collaboration will focus on developing and implementing impactful programs in key areas:
  • Education and Cultural Exchange: Facilitating programs with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and other international organizations to promote cross-cultural understanding and knowledge sharing.
  • Sustainable Development: Conducting joint research projects centered on community engagement and sustainable practices to address critical challenges.
  • Skills Development: Implementing vocational training and skills acquisition programs, along with establishing ICT training and innovation hubs.
  • Renewable Energy and Technology: Providing training in electric vehicle, solar, and renewable energy technologies to foster a greener future.
  • Agricultural Development: Partnerships in Agricultural Development and Research Programs.
