Bule Hora University Establishes Connections with University College Dublin (UCD)

Bule Hora, Ethiopia – Bule Hora University (BHU) is excited to announce a productive meeting with Dr. Rónán McDermott, a distinguished Lecturer/Assistant Professor and Ad Astra Fellow from University College Dublin’s (UCD) Centre for Humanitarian Action in Ireland. The in-person discussion, held with representatives from BHU's Research International Relation and Partnership, Academic Programs, and Research, Ethics Publication and Dissemination Directorate Offices, marks a significant step towards potential international collaboration.
Dr. McDermott, who also directs the Joint master's in international Humanitarian Action and serves as a Director for the Network on Humanitarian Action (NOHA), shared insights into UCD's work in sustainable development, including his roles as a Climate Fellow at the UCD Earth Institute and a Research Fellow with Indonesia's Resilience Development Initiative.
While a visit to Bule Hora was not possible on this occasion, both parties expressed immense value for the fruitful dialogue. BHU is keen to formalize the discussed points into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) as a crucial next step.
